The College I attended has been rename again. When I went there in the mid eighty it was name Fort State College. I learn it has been rename once again.
Fort Valley State University is a public, state-supported institution of higher learning in Fort Valley, Georgia. It was established in 1895 as Fort Valley High and Industrial School. It was renamed Fort Valley Normal and Industrial School in 1932. In 1939, the school merged with the State Teachers and Agriculture College at Forsyth. The combined institution remained in Fort Valley as Fort Valley State College. It became Fort Valley State University in 1996.
